Patting myself on the back because my tree looks SO similar right now.

A little suggestuion: i find the strings really distracting so if i’m not tucking ornaments in, i’ll hang an ornament and wrap the string around the branch so that you don’t see as much of it. This is also great if you have cats! The dangly ornaments are like catnip to them! By wrapping the string around the branches, the ornaments are a lot more secure and won’t be as tempting to the fur-babies!

I like the wooden box of ornaments at the base of the tree!  I have 4-6 trees throughout my house and pool house and switch it up every year.  This was great inspiration.  I too have disco balls and tons of chrystal ornaments some of  my trees and I love love love the way the lights twinkle in them - not gaudy...classy!  I've never seen the wreaths used like that...love it!

You had me absolutely hooked all the way until you put on the way too small, dull plain tree topper on that gorgeously decorated tree!  More is more!  You need to add something like large feathers branching out of the top or gold, white and silver painted and glittered bare branches and some floral sprays, like a volcanic explosion out of the top of the tree!

When doing lights, I do them at night. Key to getting them right is to squint your eyes to see a blur of color, or whites. This will allow you to see areas void of light, and you adjust until the 'blur of color' is even.
