What's Changing

AI systems are reviewing legal contracts, identifying financial anomalies, and streamlining healthcare operations. One example cited by the Forum: AI analyzed months of tax and regulatory data, unlocking $120 million in savings and reducing a weeks-long process to days. Laboratory ordering times were cut from 30 minutes to seconds.

Career structures are also shifting. Mid-level roles may face greater pressure as AI copilots enable junior employees to take on complex tasks earlier. Some companies are preparing for AI agents to sit alongside humans on organizational charts.

At Davos, 25 global companies — including Cisco, ServiceNow, Wipro, and Pegasystems — committed to expanding access to AI tools and creating pathways into AI-native roles, aiming to reach 120 million people by 2030.
