Jane Fonda says she "didn't dare imagine" the Democrats' blue tsunami in the midterms. The actress and activist, who has been a prominent voice on progressive causes for decades, told Variety that she was stunned by the scale of the Democratic victory. "We have to block what's bad and fight for what's good," she said, calling for sustained activism in the wake of the midterms.

What Fonda Said
According to Variety, Fonda said she was overwhelmed by the Democratic victories in the House and Senate. "I didn't dare imagine it," she said. "But now that it's here, we have to use it."
Fonda has been a political activist since the 1970s, when she protested the Vietnam War. In recent years, she has focused on climate change and has been arrested multiple times at protests in Washington, D.C.
