Masked Patriot Front White Nationalists Stage July 4 March Through DC

US news and breaking news from Washington, DC: Hundreds of masked members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front staged a march through the capital on Saturday, as part of the July 4 2026 Independence Day festivities.

The group, known for its uniforms and face coverings, posted on social media that about 400 members had arrived in the city. Reuters photographers saw large groups of individuals wearing khaki pants, blue shirts, and white masks, marching to drummers near the US Capitol and Union Station before taking Metro trains to Maryland suburbs.

They carried the group's flag, Confederate flags, and variations of the US flag, chanting "Reclaim America." Law enforcement tracked the "First Amendment" activities but reported no arrests or violence.

The global news of the march came as officials noted the group, formed after the deadly 2017 "Unite the Right" rally, feels empowered to use national holidays for public demonstrations.
