Prince Harry in Montecito, in a video unveiled on March 12, 2022

Prince Harry has again chosen humor to promote his Invictus Games, as evidenced by the video unveiled this Saturday.

We remember the video featuring him, in a humorous way, with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II and Michelle and Barack Obama. It was in April 2016 as a prelude to his 2nd Invictus Games, when he was not yet married to Meghan Markle . This Saturday, March 12, Prince Harry did it again in the same vein to promote the 2022 edition of this multi-sport competition for wounded and disabled soldiers and war veterans that he launched in London in 2014. Initially scheduled for 2020 , but twice postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it will take place from April 16 to 22 in The Hague, the Netherlands.

In the short film posted on social media, the youngest son of Prince Charles and the late Lady Diana sits in front of a laptop screen in the living room of his villa in Montecito, California. Where his wife launched her 40x40 operation for her 40th birthday last August. Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, Archie and Lilibet's dad talks in video with several members of the team organizing the event - all dressed in orange, the color of the Netherlands -, asking them in particular to teach him a few words in Dutch.

A total orange look, the color of the Netherlands

But it's at the end of the recording that Harry really puts on a show. After launching in Dutch “Thank you, see you soon in The Hague”, the Duke of Sussex wears an orange hat and puts on equally orange sunglasses. Then, opening his jacket and taking it off, he stands up, revealing a total orange look. Pointing his finger at the screen, he then exclaims "Let's go". What arouse some criticism across the Channel for this attitude deemed "clownish" or "immature" by some. Especially since his absence announced for the ceremony of tribute to his grandfather Prince Philip at the end of the month in London, when he will fly away in mid-April for these Invictus Games in The Hague, has much to hard to get to the UK.
