The movie fills you up with a sense of justice that is felt by some of the characters and makes you want to know more. Altogether, the film won't leave you utterly disappointed but will give you a good lesson and show you the real cruelty that lies in the world.

The Black Book shines a light on how the cabal utilizes corrupt individuals within the police force and media to cover up their atrocities.

The movie depicts the police practice of using look-alikes to replace criminals with powerful connections. The film also shows how some news editors always suppress stories about those who are bankrolling them.

The storyline revolves around a pastor who returns to his evil way to avenge the death of his son who was killed to replace a kidnapper. It ended with a message that the cabal will continue to abuse power if we are afraid to use our voices against them. "Silence is the enemy."

The film boasts veterans including RMD, who delivers an exceptional performance as expected. Though two body doubles were used for his character.

The settings, sound, cinematography, and stunts in the movie are all executed with finesse, enhancing the overall viewing experience. It should be noted that the director, Editi Effiong is a first-timer but he did well. It's available on Netflix.

Saturday afternoon are for movies

We saw this movie today and my husband gave it a 7.5 rating…. I’ll give it a 7.

I really liked the cast…. Acting was okay.
The storyline was wasn’t entirely unique but it was somewhat fresh.
It stung from the beginning and got slow at some point that may be the reason I rated it a 7/10.

They had many opportunities to drive home with emotions but they didn’t take it.

Executively produced by 16 people, 11 being Tech bros and founders of startups in Nigeria.

Who has seen The black book, what will you rate it and why?

Once in a while, you get that one Nigerian movie that proves that the industry isn't totally a sham. The Black Book is one of such complete masterpieces. Great plot development, good action, and excellent characterization. A perfect crime thriller. Funny thing is that, there's not much hype around it and it is way better than several "box office" movies this year.

The Black Book

Have you heard of the proverbs that says:too many cooks spoil the broth? That captures my experience in this movie.

The Black Book is a movie with a jumbled story line and overlapping characters that struggles to make sense  but never quite explain how they fit in together. .

Richard Mode Damijo(RMD) is the religious protagonist who wants justice and he is also the vile of the vallians?

Olumide Oworu played a few scenes and then he died. The audience isn't well invested with the father /son relationship before he is gunned down, so there is nothing gripping about his death.

Big Daddy played by Shaffy Bello and his hijab girls came from where? Did she have an army before now? Although, they are meant  to serve as pawns in order to make things intense but they failed!

The most annoying thing is that this movie left Sam Dede, Shaffy Bello and RMD incompetent

Moreso,  the Black Book is the cheesiest reason to give the bloodiest assassin freedom!!

I think the production crew is only more interested in the gun battle than the story and  unfortunately , the pulse-pounding shootout effect is missing .

The Black Book

Have you seen 'The Black Book?' You should. It's a daring, vivid and all too familiar story about how CORRUPTION FIGHTS BACK! And not just any corruption, but our NIGERIAN CORRUPTION.

Oh yes!

The corruption in our country Nigeria is UNIQUE, and in this movie, this corruption assumes faces, becomes organisations, and ascends to the highest echelons of power.

There have and always will be Generals who have and always will be behind the numerous problems of Nigeria.

There are and always will be corrupt politicians, government officials and agencies who have and always will be the agents of corruption.

Unfortunately, no one can become our Paulo in Nigeria. No one can become our daring Big Daddy, for reasons that are all too clear in the movie. So, corruption lingers...

I hope that other Nigerian titles will continue to expose corruption in all its ramifications, or contribute to genuine nation building in its many forms.

To the cast and production crew of this great piece of art, and to all those who conceived and birthed it, I say God bless you all.

I also pray for you; cos if this story had been told by 'small boys', funny litigations would be flying 'upandan' by now.

I know The Black Book will win numerous awards in the near future.

Perhaps one day, we'll find leaders who'll be courageous enough to put an end to the same old evil system that needs to be destroyed.

THE BLACK BOOK (2023)

The Black Book ✅✅✅👌

Starring : RMD
Bimbo Akintola
Femi Branch and many more legend Actor and Actress a film u must watch 🤩🤩🤩

It’s interesting to see how this story around Paul’s(RMD) past as a hitman affects his new title of deacon in the present. His life is assessed based on his new faith, and the bothersome

question is if he genuinely abandoned his former life or just disguised it.

The film also shows how people in power can manipulate everyone around them for their selfish reasons. Once they get into the highest office, they are in complete control and can change the lives of ordinary people.
