This Monday, June 20, after two months in a coma, former Miss Brazil Gleycy Correia passed away at only 27 years old. The young woman had undergone a banal operation to have her tonsils removed.

No one could imagine such a destiny for him. In 2018, at just 23, Gleycy Correia was elected Miss Brazil. Having become a successful businesswoman thanks to her makeup brand, the young woman from Macaé, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, had everything to be happy. But her life suddenly changed a few weeks ago, when she underwent an operation to remove her tonsils.

This is in principle a routine operation but in the case of the 27-year-old woman, things have worsened. The surgery, which took place in a private hospital, left her in a coma for two months.
"She was operated on to remove her tonsils and after five days at home, she had a bleeding. She went to the hospital and had a cardiac arrest on April 4. Since then, she has been in a coma, without neurological activity, and today she has died," explained a priest close to Gleycy Correia's family in the columns of the Mirror on Monday, June 20, the date of the death of the beauty queen.
