Ah! Thank you for this question!

I don't think there's any other license I've spent more hours on than Final Fantasy.

Final fantasy 7, besides being one of my favorite games, was my second game on PS1.

The "easy" answer to this question would therefore be Sephiroth, a character so badass that he will inspire a whole generation of villains for future FF and even outside the license.

And yet I decided that it would not be the boss of which I will speak to you in my answer.

Let's go back a few years, let's even change the console!

Let me tell you about the worst asshole in the final fantasy universe: KEFKA

OH MY GOD! I love this villain. He is infamous, ruthless, cowardly. he is ready to shamelessly betray all his masters to achieve his ends.

At first a simple black mage, he will rise to the rank of man/god transforming the world into hell for human beings.

Add to that a charac design inspired by BATMAN's joker and you have

THE perfect villain.

We will fight him several times in the game. First at the end of the first third and then during the final confrontation.

During the first confrontation, he is only human. Nevertheless, it is not to be underestimated because it will rain a rain of magic on your team which risks quickly disappearing if it is not well prepared.

During the final confrontation, you will have to organize all your characters into 4 different teams who will first have to fight several mini bosses before arriving in front of God born man.

This fight is epic!

Question: What is your favorite Final Fantasy and why?

Easily my favorite is Final Fantasy X(FFX) or XII(FFXII) - It's not decided. For many years I liked FFX because in it you play like a boy called "Tidus" who hates his father "Jecht". Jecht abandoned him 10 years ago and before that he hated him because his mother was totally in love with Jecht and she ignored Tidus a lot and when Jecht disappeared his mother died being without Jecht ...then Tidus was left without both parents but he has a man "Auron" who came to take care of him 10 years ago too and who guides him to the world of Spira to travel with others to meet with Jecht and kill him.

I like this game because I hated my father (for different reasons of course) and at the end of the game, you have to kill Jecht (before the battle with the final enemy). Tidus tells him "Dad, I hate you!" and he cries as he says it. I imagined doing this with my father. Now I don't hate him anymore but the game still is special to me.

I also like Final Fantasy XII. The story is very full. The main character Vaan - his brother is killed at the beginning and the king too and it is believed that another character killed him but it is really this character's own brother who looked like himself and this character was arrested as a traitor. Later, we learn that the princess of the kingdom still lives and helps fight enemies - to win the kingdom again. There's a lot of intrigue and drama and I like it a lot! Also I like the character advancement system in both FFX and FFXII.

I love Red 13, one of my favorite characters: a lion who has a flame, an animal from experiments

There is also: Vincent, a kind of vampire

Aerith: I fell in love with Aerith :D

In FF9:

Bibi will remain the most endearing to me, especially her story and her hopes, her courage

For the moment I'm about ten hours into the game and I'm rather divided:

strong points: graphically it's a killer, we also quickly find the sensations of the original ff7, the characters are better developed and the combat system is perfectly immersive.

Weak points: apart from the characters, the graphics sting the eyes (the objects in the scenery are pixelated), given the enormous amount of work required, the remake only includes the midgar part, i.e. 30% of the original game on ps1 :( .

The camera is a soap, it slips everywhere and it stings the eyes during the fights, especially where there is a lot of animation.

The game is a hallway, if you are not from the older generation it will be difficult to play it, especially if you are used to the open world

in short for me it's 15/20 for the moment but to strongly advise for connoisseurs of the original ff7, for the others it's a good game without more

What is the best final fantasy in history?

In the family of necessarily biased questions (since everyone has not necessarily played all the FF either at the time of their respective releases or after the fact) but in my case I will answer with certainty on 6 ( last on Super Famicom) for which I had the most emotions. Of course, I spent a lot of time on the following ones until the current VII Remake. I think that the video games we play as children are the ones that mark the most (hence the bias).

What is your favorite Final Fantasy and why?

My favorite is FFVIII in normal times. But his charisma inspires me little at the moment.

Since October 2020, it's FFXIII (1,2 and 3), because I'm a super fan of Claire Farron and the story of the trilogy touched me to the core of my being. His charisma inspires me every day in these difficult times. Quite simply because the French (in general) have taken a direction opposite to mine. Which Final Fantasy villain is the most powerful?

For me without a doubt “Der Richter” on FF10… he has 12 million In HP points… with 250 hours of play I had a lot of trouble winning him…. And it only happens once...

On 'youtube a fight with der richter lasts at least 45 minutes... you have to use strategy in addition to having top characters...

Another advantage: to reach it vs. have to kill all the purging summons: be already a crazy definde before reaching it...
