Is it even more important for pet owners to keep their black cats inside on Halloween?
In the UK, no. Black cats are considered lucky here. However, it’s advisable to keep all pets indoors from late October to the Monday after 5th November, because that’s firework season, and they may be scared by a firework (or even be hit by one, in the case of one unfortunate pony in Ireland) and run away.

Ya know what? I’m giving this one to the Hulk.

Notice his costume? Just a plain pair of ripped pants. But that’s all he needs. His skin is already tougher than most body armor he could wear, and this way none of his movement is really restricted.

But the shorts do provide some cover, so he doesn’t flash people. Otherwise, they seem to be plenty comfortable and they don’t ever rip further than the legs.

Meanwhile, Hulk can flex and stomp and smash to his heart’s content. And the best part? He doesn’t have to worry about chafing his nipples. I’ve heard that’s a problem for some heroes…

I have dressed my cats up lots of times. I’ve been doing it for years, so they don’t mind it. Daisy (the Devon Rex) actually enjoys it. She’s so cute, when we’re done with the photo shoot, she likes to toddle off still wearing her outfit. Unless it’s something simple like a tee-shirt, I’ll take it off for safety.

Harley (the black and white cat) doesn’t mind if I distract him by waving his favorite toys around.

I suspect most cats aren’t as accommodating, so never force a cat to wear a costume. Also, if they don’t like it, what’s the point? You won’t get a cute photo and the cat will be unhappy.

If you consider your animal companion as family & are close to them, then you can tell their likes & dislikes. Most pets don’t like costumes (especially cats!) BUT, some don’t mind & even crave the fancy duds! My dogs always dress up for Halloween, but I just put them in costume for a few minutes so I can snap a few pics. They tolerate it because they see how ridiculously happy I am & I make it a very special time with much attention, love & treats, lol. I’ve seen a few dogs who really seem to swagger in a costume & actually enjoy it…

you could make the “metal” bits out of foam, and make the fabric stuff out of spandex covered in latex, just make sure there's a little slack so your dog doesn't get irritated skin,

also, put a zipper on the front so that your dog can get in, but its still not as easy to see the seam

The short answer: he’s a good dog.

The longer version, well, Snoopy is an adopted rescue. He was very badly abused, and his only training was some misplaced sleeve training. That took a while to un-do.

When I saw his photograph, I had no plans for getting a pet. My cat was still alive, and I did not want a dog. I saw EXACTLY what was going on in his head, and I felt great kinship. He was nuts, and happy but crazy and sad. I take meds for that. He doesn’t get any.

I called the shelter he was at (a little rural shelter quite a long ways and two ferries from here). They informed me in no uncertain t

I think so. My dog Monty is shown below as a hotdog. Pretty darn adorable. The trick-or-treaters sure loved it.

But I do think we need to be mindful of how they feel about costumes. I wouldn’t put anything on them that they don’t like or is restrictive in any way. Also, never laugh at your dog. They are embarrassed when people laugh at them, just as people are.

Who is the superhero with the coolest looking costume?
They all suck.

Skin-tight costumes are so uncomfortable, sure they provide manoeuvrability but they’re just too tight and kinda weird looking.

If I were a superhero I’d just wear a mask and a hoodie.

Comfortable and easy to put on (you can just keep the mask in a bag or under the hoodie).

If I was forced to choose a costume from an existing superhero though I’d choose Captain America.

It looks practical and not too tight, it has padding and a cool design. Probably less comfortable than the hoodie and takes more time to put on, but I imagine it would be more helpful once you do.

I hate dogs. Especially the one that lives with my wife and me.
He forces me to throw his toys for him every morning. Sometimes he brings them back to throw again and other times he just walks off and does his own thing with them. Sheesh!

When I was about 11 years old we had a school Halloween dance for the first time.

I was super excited. My friends and I talked about it weeks beforehand, and we all carefully planned our outfits we were going to wear.

Gracie is not actually new to Quora, but she is getting into the holiday spirit:

We found Gracie in a local shelter this past Summer. At the time, they estimated that she was only a little over one year old.

We immediately began teaching her things because otherwise she grew bored and carried away our things—or chew them up.

This year, the boyfriend and I are going as paint-by-number pages.

Basically, we’re getting white clothes and drawing shapes with numbers on them like this:

Then we’re going to be wearing necklaces with sharpies on them and different people will get to “color us in” throughout the night.

Found on IMDB page for the 2016 nature documentary Naledi: A Baby Elephant’s Tale. It was shown on PBS. Her caregiver used to feed her from a rickety-looking folding chair when the orphan was first rescued. Ever see a five-gallon baby bottle? Naledi kept trying to crawl up into his lap. In this photo it looks as if they upgraded to a sturdier bench. She had lots of difficulties, with illness nearly ending her life, but she survived to adulthood and is thriving but, of course, much too big for Daddy’s lap now.

William McKinley had a pet Yellow naped Amazon (which my family used to own as well, they are very vocal).

If you walked into the white house during a social function, he would often greet you.

McKinley named him Washington Post. The newspaper with that moniker was around but they aren’t certain if that is why he got the name. It may have just been related to his job of being posted up to greet people as they came in for cocktail parties.
