The German carmaker has introduced the ‘Digital Service Drive Next’ and ‘Pay at your convenience’ services in India.

Mercedes-Benz has just introduced just introduced two new service initiatives for our market – the ‘Digital Service Drive (DSD) Next’ and ‘Pay at your convenience’. Both these initiatives are aimed towards increasing convenience for its customer.

What is DSD Nxt (Digital Service Drive Next)?

In short, it is an initiative that digitises the various processes related to a vehicle’s service, in order to allow customers to co-ordinate with the workshops from the safety of their homes.

Under DSD Nxt, customer can receive a ‘Service Web Check-In Pass’ for each service, which gives them the ability to select their service preferences (date, time, pick-up and drop-off location, among others), get real-time service status update as well as real-time tracking of the car during pick and drop-off, download service documents and also pay the service bills online.

They can also receive all the pertinent communication and updates via WhatsApp.

What does the ‘Pay at your convenience’ service provide?

With the roll-out of this service, Mercedes-Benz India aims to provide its customers flexibility in paying for their car’s service and repair.

This is done by providing finance plans for service bill via credit card-based EMI schemes with a tenure of up to 12 months, a zero-cost EMI option for three months and a one-swipe EMI easy payment option for both, preventive maintenance and general repairs.

At present, this is available with credit cards from more than 13 banks.

What vehicles has the brand launched recently?

Apart from these new service initiatives, Mercedes has also recently introduced the all-new GLS SUV in our market, with prices starting at Rs 99 lakh (ex-showroom, India). The German carmaker also expanded the GLE range with a new petrol variant and a locally assembled diesel variant.
