I work in sales in Boston. I spend a lot of time driving between meetings. I bought Under Armour's smart shoes because I wanted to track my steps and fitness. I thought they would be a great way to stay motivated. I was excited to try them out. I wore them for a week and checked the app. I had walked 30,000 steps on Tuesday. I was amazed. I thought I was the most active person in the world. I knew that wasn't right. I had been driving all day. The shoes had tracked my driving as steps. The AI was confused. It thought I was walking when I was driving. I recalibrated the shoes. I reset the settings. The shoes still tracked my driving as steps. I stopped using them. I've read about stopped using a bank and AI took over my money and how technology is supposed to help us. My shoes were just confusing me. Has your smart footwear ever lied to you? I'm pretty sure I can track my own steps.
