I’m 21 years old and have always loved taking care of my skin. However, my skincare journey truly began in eighth grade when I developed large pimples on my cheeks. Up until then, I hadn’t paid much attention to skincare, but the sudden breakout made me feel uncomfortable and self-conscious. That’s when I decided to take action.

My Early Skincare Routine:

  • Started washing my face three times a day.
  • Increased my water intake to about two liters per day.
  • Reduced junk food consumption.
  • Engaged in physical activities to encourage sweating and detoxification.

The results were incredible—I’ve been pimple-free ever since!

My Current Skincare Habits:

  • Daily movement: Whether through exercise or dancing, I make sure to sweat every day—it truly enhances my skin’s glow.
  • Healthy diet: I avoid oily foods, never skip breakfast, and haven’t touched white sugar in years.

Wait… it won’t change your complexion like those TV ads claim, but it will definitely improve your skin texture.

I drink a lot of water at least 3 liters per day. It helps.
I wash my face and use natural aloe vera and honey daily, though I sometimes skip it out of impatience. It works, but not just in a week or a month,I’ve been using it since childhood.

I drink milk and eat vegetables.
I avoid beauty products no face powder, no foundation, no soap, nothing. I only use Himalaya face wash, and that’s it. It works well for me.

Luckily, I’ve never had pimples, but any neem-based product helps reduce them. Don’t pop pimples! If you get marks, try applying multani mitti (Fuller’s earth). Also, avoid junk food.

Try these simple tricks at home for a week and feel the change:

Water

Drink two glasses of water and one cup of warm lemon-honey water in the morning. This helps cleanse your stomach and prevents pimples.

Steam and Ice or Face Pack

Once a week, take steam, follow up with ice, or apply aloe vera gel. Let it dry and then wash it off with water.

Green Tea

Drink one cup of green tea daily.

Clean Hair

Dirty hair can make your skin oily and worsen breakouts. Wash your hair at least twice a week and use clean bed sheets and pillowcases.

Face Wash and Sunscreen

Try not to switch brands frequently. I use Himalaya Neem face wash.
Always apply sunscreen when going outside, regardless of the season. I use Lakmé SPF 30.

Sleep

Get at least eight hours of sleep daily and stay happy.

Exercise

Regular exercise makes a significant difference. Choose any workout and make the most of your day.
