There is an old saying that goes, “My mother didn't raise a fool” and here is a great example where it can apply. Between us, if it were that easy to get diamonds, everyone would have them and therefore they would be worthless.

However, it seemed useful to us in the context of this article to reiterate that not only putting graphite in the microwave absolutely did not turn it into diamond, but that it could also be dangerous and cause a fire. Clearly, if someone tells you that they have the recipe for getting diamonds fast, it's a safe bet that it's nonsense.
