A big controversy, but a worthy cause – Artist Beeple – creator of the non-fungible token (NFT) “Everydays: The first 5,000 days” which traded at a record $ 69 million – has just collaborated with Madonna for the creation of 3 NFTs . These somewhat peculiar NFTs have a noble purpose, however, as the amount collected from their sale will be donated to 3 charities.

MADONNA AND MOTHER NATURE NFTS

The collaboration between Queen of Pop Madonna and artist Beeple has resulted in 3D NFTs . They were auctioned on the NFT SuperRare marketplace . These 3 NFTs are part of the "Mother of Creation" collection and are called: Mother of Technology , Mother of Nature and Mother of Evolution .

These NFTs are a 3D representation of Madonna giving birth to robot centipedes, butterflies, and trees. The artist Beeple and the American pop star decided to launch this collection, while the cryptocurrency market is experiencing a general decline .

Obviously, the reactions to this very original collection were not long in coming on Twitter. NFTs are far from unanimous . However, NFTs have all found buyers for thousands of dollars. In total, the 3 NFTs sold for 309.1 ETH , or approximately $629,400 .

THE LACKLUSTER RECEPTION OF NFTS ON TWITTER

First, it should be noted that the intention behind this collection is quite commendable. Indeed, the money collected during the sale of these 3 NFTs will be distributed between 3 different charities . They deal with the condition of women and children all over the world.

Then, on Twitter , the reception of this collection is mixed . Indeed, some users and digital art enthusiasts have assured that they would have submitted bids for these very original and "inspiring" works .

In contrast, others pointed out the details of these NFTs that made them hate them. As such, they point out that Mother Nature should “not wear makeup” or even have “fake breasts and fake hair” . Others were indignant at the fact that childbirth is a painful act, which these NFTs do not represent.

So, even if the execution is not perfect, the good intention behind this collection of 3D NFTs is still to be commended. Besides, 3D NFTs are definitely the future of the artistic ecosystem. Indeed, Sony said it wanted to expand access to the metaverse in 3D .
