I bought my Tesla Model Y because I wanted to be part of the future. I wanted autonomous driving, electric power, and cutting-edge technology. I was excited about the Autopilot feature. I paid $15,000 for the Full Self-Driving package. I thought I was investing in the future of transportation. I told all my friends and family about the incredible technology. I was a complete Tesla fanboy. I even got a Tesla tattoo on my arm (I regret that now). Last month, I was driving on I-70 near Nashville. The traffic was light, and I was in the right lane. I had Autopilot engaged. All of a sudden, my car veered sharply to the left, toward a semi truck in the adjacent lane. I had to yank the wheel to avoid a crash. I was shaking for 20 minutes. My heart was pounding out of my chest. My wife was in the passenger seat, and she was terrified. We pulled over at the next exit and I had to sit for 10 minutes to calm down. I was in shock. I couldn't believe what had just happened. I reported the incident to Tesla. They said it was a 'visual processing error' and that I should make sure my cameras were clean. I cleaned them. It happened again two weeks later, on the same stretch of highway. I was driving in the same lane. The car veered toward another semi truck. I grabbed the wheel again. I was terrified. I started to sweat. My wife refused to get in the car with me for a week after that. She said she'd rather take the bus than risk her life with my 'killer car.' I don't use Autopilot anymore. I bought the car for the self-driving features, but now I'm too scared to use them. Tesla won't refund the FSD package. I'm out $15,000. I've looked at dash cams on Amazon to document future incidents, but that doesn't fix the core problem. The car is unsafe. I've started driving with both hands on the wheel at all times. I don't even use cruise control anymore. I've lost all trust in the technology. I've read about tech layoffs AI empire collapse and how technology is evolving. I didn't realize it would evolve into a danger to my family. Anyone else had a terrifying Autopilot experience? I'm about to sue. I've already contacted a lawyer. I want my money back. I want Tesla to admit that their technology is dangerous. I want to warn others so they don't make the same mistake I did. I still love the car in many ways, but I hate the Autopilot. I'd rather drive myself than trust a computer with my life.
