Over the career of a Formula 1 driver they can expect to earn $70 million on average, then once a Formula 1 driver retires they can then earn millions more from media and sponsors.

David Coulthard is a British former racing driver from Scotland who retired back in 2008 after being in the business for around 14 years. During his career, he raced with many other talented racers but is considered to be one of the best drivers the world has seen.
